Every digital marketing agency says it's different. Here's the actual, unglamorous story of how Velocity Branding started — the two people behind it, and why we built a small, senior team instead of another agency run on junior hands and a sales pitch.

How We Met

Will and Louise met at a previous employer, working two very different sides of the same business: Louise as a Client Success Manager, keeping accounts happy and renewing; Will as a Talent Manager, recruiting the people who'd run those accounts. Different desks, same floor, same frustration.

We watched good people get managed badly — decisions made for optics instead of outcomes, promises to clients that the team on the ground had to scramble to cover. Eventually we'd both had enough. We resigned with immediate effect, on the same week, without a plan beyond knowing we didn't want to work like that again.

The Leap: Building Bridgeway Talent Partners AI

What we did have was two sets of skills that, put together, were more useful than either of us realized on our own. Will's recruiting background and Louise's client-facing experience translated directly into staffing — so we built Bridgeway Talent Partners AI, a recruitment agency, first. It taught us how to run a business properly: real client relationships, real accountability, no queue of junior hands between us and the work.

Why Digital Marketing

Recruiting is where the second half of this story comes from. Will spent close to two years recruiting specifically within the digital marketing industry — hiring strategists, media buyers and creatives for agencies and in-house teams — which meant learning, in detail, what separates a marketing hire who actually moves a business forward from one who just sounds good in an interview.

Louise's background covers the same ground from a different angle: digital marketing experience combined with client success management, plus time already spent freelancing across multiple marketing clients before Velocity existed. Between the two of us, we'd effectively been doing the job — hiring for it, managing the client relationship around it, and freelancing inside it — before we ever called it an agency.

Building Velocity Branding

That combination is why Velocity Branding exists, and why it's built the way it is. We're AI-native, not AI-only — AI handles the research and production heavy-lifting, but the strategy behind every campaign is still made by one of us, with a background in exactly what makes marketing hires (and marketing decisions) actually work.

If you want to see how that shows up in practice, our services and pricing are a good place to start. Or skip straight to a conversation — book a free strategy call and you'll be talking to one of us, not a queue.
